Project Objectives & Goals

Imperial Highland Supplies believes in having the best quality products with superior service while developing the e-commerce website. This client does have a current SEO campaign but has had little success in realizing any concrete results.

The main focus of this collaboration is traffic for scaling up sales. Our attention would be centered on the optimization of their website for visibility in search engines, leveraging effective SEO techniques in building a reputable brand that can eventually remove dependence on paid campaigns and shift towards organic search traffic.

Project Initial Condition

Before the commencement of work with Devlush, Imperial Highland Supplies seemed to struggle with visibility within the search engines in terrifying ways. The site had never employed effective SEO, having been founded over a decade ago. It was just stagnating. At the same time, it received an accumulated total of 2,900 clicks, recording an average of about 20 clicks a day. The website has received a total of about 90,100 impressions at an average of 500 impressions daily.

Special causes of dismay were the keyword rankings, as most of the keywords were buried on the second and third pages of SERPs. Only 25 keywords were ranking in the top 10, 45 in the top 20, and 19 keywords ranking in the top 3 positions on SERPs. Not optimized or visible, it became very important to make over the SEO in an effort to drive more traffic and generally improve performance.

Challenges

Imperial Highland Supplies were in dire need of incorporating proper SEO strategies into it. Of course, when they finally came to Devlush, the clarity was there that whatever SEO they were doing previously wasn’t really helping them as such. A thorough audit by us made us identify a couple of underlying challenges.

  • Slow Loading Website: The speed was really mediocre, hence causing a bad user experience.
  • Technical SEO Issues: Broken links and all hindered the crawlers.
  • Poor Categorization of Website: No structure could be discerned.
  • Poor backlink profile at the website level: Only a few quality links were found.
  • Poor keyword rankings: Most keywords were in the range of low visibility.

Imperial Highland Supplies wanted to take their website optimization to the next level, so they hired us to provide search engine optimization. That was after an astonishing rise of 47,800 in total clicks and 4.1 million in total impressions with a daily average of about 100 clicks and 7,000 impressions per day. 

There was also a vast improvement in keyword ranking strategy, wherein 92 keywords hit the top 10, 200 keywords hit the top 20, and 9 keywords hit the top 3. More than 1,500 monthly visitors were added after optimization, hence, new orders through search were increased by a great margin.

Finally, after 16 months of ardent optimisation, some amazing enhancements cropped up for Imperial Highland Supplies. Total clicks increased by 47,800, while impressions increased likewise to 4.1 million at an average of about 100 clicks and 7,000 impressions per day. Keyword rankings have increased very strongly from 92 keywords in the top 10, 200 in the top 20, and 9 in the top 3.

This reeled in more than 1,500 additional visitors every month, yielding serious uplift in new orders. These optimizations have also yielded many new branded queries, for example, “Imperial Highland Supplies,” generating 614 clicks and 844 impressions.
