Project Objectives & Goals

The aim of MKG is to enhance its visibility online and provide the customers with a shopping experience second to none, with a wide product portfolio at competitive prices. The main objective of the client is: to enhance online sales and increase the website traffic. 

Our service is required to help MKG meet these objectives by way of identifying and suggesting appropriate SEO strategies, thereby offering increased search engine result page visibility and creating brand equity sans major dependence on paid promotional campaigns.

Project Initial Condition

There were several big challenges in the online presence of MKG before it started working with Devlush. The website had no established SEO practices set up, so results could hardly be seen in any search engines. The website was not UI/UX-designed, making it problematic for the user to move around.

Apart from this, there was no proper categorization structure introduced on the website, which greatly affected product discoverability and user experience. The results for MKG were dismal, with hardly any clicks and impressions. Most of the keywords were ranking low, more often than not on the second or third pages of search results.

This condition warranted a whole SEO strategy to be in place to effectively enhance the overall performance and ultimately drive sales.

This translated to an unprecedented growth in website traffic, where there were 547,000 total clicks and 8.6 million total impressions. The average is described as 1,500 clicks daily, with 25,000 impressions each day.

The keyword ranking strategy increased significantly, with 374 keywords in the top 10, 910 in the top 20, and 58 in the top 3. This will arguably increase organic traffic, hence positioning the brand for better visibility and sales in the highly competitive Pakistan e-commerce market.

Finally, after almost a year of serious SEO work, we have been able to deliver great results for MKG. Keywords rankings show 374 keywords in the top 10 and 910 in the top 20. Lastly, overall traffic increased by over 5,500 monthly for a total of 547,000 clicks and 8.6 million impressions. The huge increase in growth signals a strong improvement in online presence.

Some new branded queries which showed up were “multan kitab ghar”, with 2,978 clicks and 8,807 impressions. Other variations of brand queries included “mkg” and “multan book center” that resulted in a lot more traffic; these results represent increased branding, filtered traffic, and better conversion ratios-developing MKG into becoming competitive players in this e-commerce industry.
