Project Objectives & Goals

Rafia also tries to provide customers with a different shopping experience by carrying culturally inspired clothes at the best prices. The client’s key objective is to increase online sales and website traffic. We want to incorporate top SEO strategies that will gain them an increased visibility level of their brand, build up a name online, and enable them to achieve more organic traffic rather than relying on paid promotional efforts. By applying specific SEO practices, we elevate the performance of Rafia in the competitive ecommerce market.

Project Initial Condition

Before starting the work with Devlush, Rafia designer wear website was attending to a high visibility within the search engines and wanted an even better one. At present, the website received 38,400 clicks or about 300 clicks per day and got 998,000 impressions with an average of 9,000 impressions daily.

The website was at a great base, yet had to further optimize its performance. Rafia ranked with 170 keywords in the top 10 results and 370 in the top 20; however, just 45 keywords made it to the top 3 pages of search engines. Monthly organic traffic was 9,200, showing that more could be done to attract further visitors and better sales developed through the implementation of SEO methods.

Challenges

Rafia designer wear had been in the ecommerce landscape for several years, while effective optimization of their online presence was very complicated. It soon became apparent, when collaborating with Devlush that the website was riddled with a number of SEO issues, which in turn was the reason for its poor performance. Detailed auditing showed a number of points to concentrate:

  • Technical SEO issues.
  • Unoptimized titles and meta descriptions, which obviously affect click-through rates.
  • Architectural SEO problems affecting site navigation.
  • Poor internal linking structure, this results in inefficient crawling.
  • Website speed and core web vitals issues diminishing user experience.
  • Working in a competitive Pakistani market, there is a requirement for focused strategies.

 

These were the challenges that had to be overcome in order to make the website much easier to find and increase its visitor traffic.

The Results

Rafia ecommerce website, has partnered with our team for SEO, which resulted in very good results. Results showed that there was an increase of 337,000 in total clicks and 7.99 million impressions within the website, averaging 700 clicks a day and 10,000 impressions a day. The results were quite brilliant, 499 keywords in the top 10, 788 in the top 20, and 207 in the top 3. With an average order value of more than 4,000 PKR. This increase in traffic immediately reflected a significant revenue increase, thereby earning an estimated 8,400,000 PKR due to an increase in orders.

Only after one year of continuous optimization, keyword rankings dramatically increased. Going from 170 keywords into the top ten to an impressive 499, with 788 now in the top 20 and 207 in the top 3. Monthly traffic, therefore increased by 21,000, showing the effectiveness of our SEO strategy. This yielded a total of 337,000 clicks and 7.99 million impressions, increasing brand visibility significantly.

Branded queries also went up: “rafia” clicked to 35,709 and “rafia clothing” to 14,146, which significantly enhanced brand awareness and targeted traffic.  Fundamentally, this SEO initiative brought up the conversion rate and provided Rafia with a strong uplift of new orders to reinforce their position in the e-commerce market.
